The Wessex Muse Magazine covers all areas of creativity including creative writing (novels, short stories, poetry), visual arts (painting, drawing, illustration, design, sculpture, contemporary crafts, photography) and performance art (dance, music, theatre). However, The Wessex Muse has a panoramic view of creativity and therefore also features such diverse areas as creative food, artistic fashion, furniture design, architecture, etc. We not only provide a platform for artists of all genres in the local area to showcase their work, but also keep local consumers informed of other cultural events coming into the area. Artists of all genres are welcome to submit their work.
The Wessex Muse Magazine can be picked up free throughout Dorset, Hants, Wilts, Somerset, Avon, the Isle of Wight and Devon from various venues including cafes, theatres, art centres, art galleries, art and music shops, cinemas, tourist information centres, etc., and is read by approximately 30,000 people. For a modest annual subscription, individuals belonging to The Wessex Muse Subscription Club receive the magazine monthly by post and enjoy concessions such as preferential rates at certain venues, discounts on selected products, exhibition invites, etc. and also are automatically entered into competitions run by The Wessex Muse.
